When we arrived at the morning most of the runners still packed their stuff. Most of the runners had slept at the community center. Without showers there was everything you need. People who wanted to shower had to use a camping shower (black water pack) with a shower tent. Today’s stage was the first stage in a new time zone. So it was darker at the morning. Our prestage meeting was placed at the community center. Laure did not have much to say. She only told us to use security vests/-jackets and a light for running. The advantage of the new time zone was that we had almost one hour less sun. Because the area had warmer temperatures again nobody blamed about it. Today’s course was slowly leading out of the plateau. At the end of the day we reached again 1800m altitudes. Bando started more slowly today. He started first yesterday and arrived last. Italo was again very fast. Also James seemed to feel better. After we finished 2/3rd of the course we passed the 1000km mark. It is always something special, when you hit a 1000km mark. During Trans-Europe-Footrace we hit four of them. This time it will be the first time I also pass the 5000km mark. But it is a long way to get there and a lot of things can happen. As usual I had a cool cola beer after the race. Even I am not a beer drinker, but here it turned into a standard. Also today I had a portion of noodles with it. When we went to the motel we could cheer again some runners. As yesterday we saw how the sky in the west got dark. Already at the morning there were some clouds there. You already can guess, if you see the grey sky. Soon it will rain. At the evening there was an email from Laure. Tomorrow morning we should have a special meeting because of security. Today the police passed always the runners. Tomorrow we will have some more trails instead of road.
