This morning Laure opened the prestage meeting with the announcement of a firework. It meant that she had to tell a lot about the security and the rules. Serge got a warning and a penalty of 30 minutes. It was because he did not carry his camelbak. Even he was warned he did not do it. Also she mentioned to Alexandro that he will get a penalty, if his team further will pay so less attention at the road. She pointed out that she will not discuss about any rules. Also she does not like people telling her about other people mistakes. Her team pays attention and she knows very well what happens on the course. In the end we wished Makoto happy birthday. Serge, Markus and Laure gave him a present. The first half of the day was flat. At the beginning of the second half we had some more miles on a road similar a highway. To get back on regular roads we had to climb up a grass hillside. Then it was hillier till we arrived in Hannibal. At that part we also went through Frankford and New London. Something changed on the road. Instead of dead armadillos we saw more dead raccoons on the road. Without the sad look all the time we recognized a very strong molder smell. Today it was not as hot as the last days. Also it was not as humid. At noon some clouds came up, so we had while to while some shadow. At Hannibal the accommodation and dinner was organized by the best friend of Markus wife. There where no showers, but we that fore we had our camping shower provided by the organization. It was more than enough. At the beginning Laure was afraid that the space in the air-conditioned room is too small. But many people went to the motel. So there was plenty of space. Today Sarah a friend of mine arrived. She will stay with us during our time in Illinois. At the evening Makoto gave us one of his Sake bottles. He receives them this morning.
